Dry Season (May–October)
This is the most popular window to visit, with clear skies, minimal rainfall and the best conditions for photography at Maras and Moray, where the terracing and salt pools photograph best under strong, direct light. It's also peak tourist season across the entire region, especially June through August, so booking a few days ahead is genuinely worth doing rather than assuming you can walk up the day before.
Rainy Season (November–April)
Expect afternoon showers, noticeably greener landscapes across the terraced hillsides, and — importantly — far fewer crowds at every site. Mornings are often clear even in the wettest months, which works in your favor since our tour visits Chinchero and Moray early, before any afternoon weather typically rolls in.
