Lunch is Part of the Experience
Every Sacred Valley Full Day tour includes a stop for lunch in Urubamba, the small town that sits roughly at the midpoint of the day, between the morning stops at Chinchero, Moray and Maras, and the afternoon at Ollantaytambo and Pisac. Rather than a rushed sandwich on the bus, you get a sit-down traditional Andean buffet at a proper restaurant.
Which Restaurant Will I Go To?
Lunch at Rustica is included at no extra cost on both plans: the US$30 Sacred Valley Classic Tour and the US$32 Sacred Valley + Moray & Maras (Complete) Tour. If you'd like a larger, more elaborate buffet, three upgrade options are available on either plan: our most popular upgrade, 14 Inkas (+US$4), followed by Don Ángel (+US$14) and Tunupa (+US$20), all well known buffet restaurants in the Sacred Valley.
Why Urubamba, Specifically?
Urubamba sits roughly halfway through the day's route on both plans — on the Classic Tour it comes between Pisac and Ollantaytambo, and on the Complete Tour it comes right after the salt flats of Maras and before the afternoon stops at Ollantaytambo and Pisac. It's also at a lower, warmer altitude than Cusco, which makes it a comfortable place to sit down and refuel before the afternoon.
