Why "Included" Actually Means Included
Some Cusco operators advertise a lower "essential" rate that leaves out hotel pickup and lunch entirely — you get yourself to a meeting point and bring your own food, or pay extra for both once you're already committed to the day. Every Sacred Valley tour on this page includes hotel pickup from downtown Cusco — or a nearby meeting point if your accommodation sits outside our strategic pickup zones — plus a full traditional Andean buffet lunch, both built into the base price, not sold back to you as add-ons.
Transparency Before You Book
One of the most common frustrations travelers report with day tours in Peru is discovering hidden costs once they're already on the road — an entrance fee nobody mentioned, a "lunch included" that turns out to be a snack stand, or a guide who expects a tip that was never disclosed upfront. Why aren't entrance tickets included?
The Boleto Turístico and the Maras entry fee are collected by Cusco's regional government and the Maras community, not by tour operators — so we keep them separate and only charge for what you need. You can add them directly in the booking form when you reserve your spot, so you don't need to carry cash for them on the day. How much are the entrance tickets?
Your guide will help you purchase them in cash (Peruvian soles) at each ticket booth. Prices are set by the respective authorities and are best confirmed on the day, since official rates are occasionally updated — your guide will always know the current amount before you reach the gate.
